- Veterinarian Practice Leader
Description
PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) is part of PetSmart’s Vet Health Services (VHS), the team bringing innovative veterinary solutions under one roof. Our goal is to keep veterinary health in the hands of the veterinary professionals.
We are looking for a skilled veterinarian who’s excited to deliver high-quality care the way they have always imagined doing it. A person looking to explore the next step in leadership, hospital operations, and leading the direction of medicine practiced by their team. The high-level of autonomy in operating the clinic presents an excellent opportunity to experience what owning your own practice could be like. We want someone to run the hospital like they own the hospital - someone who wants the autonomy to lead a team in delivering medicine the way they've always wanted to.
Why This Role Stands Out -
Competitive Base salary + leadership & management stipend + performance bonuses.
Opportunity to build and cultivate a clinic culture where pets, clients, and the team thrive.
A role where your voice matters—spanning both high-quality veterinary medicine and operational leadership, not simply another associate general practice position.
Future path to ownership is a possibility. You choose the nearest available hospital to where you live.
What You’ll Do – Leadership
Lead and mentor the clinical team in daily operations.
Create and manage medical treatment plans, direction, and focus.
Hire, coach, and develop team members to create a positive, inclusive culture.
Collaborate on staffing, inventory, and marketing with support from the business team.
Help ensure compliance with standards and operating policies for PVS hospitals.
Review clinic performance metrics and receive guidance to grow as a business leader.
Potentially transition into ownership through an independent franchise—with continued support.
