Roadrunner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is the only non-corporate, locally-owned ER in the Albuquerque area and we're hiring for 2 positions! Management is local and approachable- no relying on what corporate will implement. Our ER vets have a set schedule that doesn't change from month to month. Full-time ER vets only work 3 shift per week and have the other 4 days/week off to enjoy family, hobbies or other interests. We currently have 8 full-time vets on our team and we'd love to add 2 more!
Pay starts at $275,000 base for experienced ER vets for our weekend overnight shift plus 25% of production with no negative acrural. Our weekend swing shift starts at $220,000 base for experienced ER vets plus 25% production. We offer 70% of the health insurance premium paid, $5000 annual CE allowance, heavily discounted care for personal pets, a full-time staff counselor, matching 401K retirement plan, PTO (in addition to the ability to trade shifts for additional time off), student loan repayment assistance and a loyalty bonus for long-term team members as part of our benefit package.
Our new building was completed in spring 2024 and offers a separate ICU, Snyder oxygen cage, 12 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, a CT scanner, endoscopy, ultrasound and more. We have a board-certified surgeon on staff who also serves as our Medical Director.

DVM degree
Ability to obtain NM veterinary license
DEA license
