Description

Indiana Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates (IOMSA) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic, financial and operational background and proven leadership abilities.  This is an opportunity to become a team member and leader at one of the premier oral surgical groups in the country. 

IOMSA is one of the largest groups of oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the United States.  Their physicians manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face.  They offer a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with expertise in wisdom tooth removaldental implantstooth removal, and Facial Trauma.

IOMSA has multiple locations (Fishers, Greenwood, Southport, Zionsville, West Indianapolis and North Indianapolis) in Central Indiana.   The practice has a strong market position and reputation.

Responsibilities of the CEO will include

  • Assist the physician owners with governance and strategic vision of the practice enterprise.
  • Provide the Board of Directors and the Shareholders with routine financial reporting and practice management performance updates at monthly shareholder meetings. 
  • Represent the organization to the public and maintain relationships with hospital and system partners. 
  • Ensure sound operational and financial performance of the practice. 
  • Responsible for leading, directing and evaluating the organization’s administrative leadership team in management of all the business, human resource, financial, compliance, and regulatory aspects of the practice.
  • Review and assist physicians with decision making for all new initiatives, including developing or expanding new opportunities, adding new providers, expanding facilities or adding new locations.

The ideal candidate has a track record of successfully managing a physician practice along with the leadership and personnel skills to guide and motivate the entire IOMSA Team.  An advanced degree in health care administration, business or financial operations as well as executive-level experience is desired.  Prior medical group practice experience is important, but other relevant experience will be considered. Experience with staff management, payer contracting, hospital and system relationships is important.  Strong leaders with high-level communication and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
