Solis has an exciting Chief Medical Officer position available in our Dallas, TX office.  This is a full-time executive position that reports to the CEO.  The CMO provides clinical leadership at Solis and oversees the organization’s quality outcomes. The role also serves as a liaison to multiple physician groups and coordinates a robust clinical innovation and research agenda.  We are looking for a radiologist who has a strong clinical focus on breast imaging, ideally fellowship trained in this specialty, with a background in leadership like a medical directorship, and with some research experience.

It is an exciting time to be a part of Solis as we continue to fulfill our mission as a national leader in mammography and women’s imaging services; helping patients achieve and maintain optimal health.   We are the leader in 3D screening with 100% of Solis centers providing 3D mammography services and we pride ourselves in providing an exceptional patient experience.  Solis is currently operating in 11 states and 95 locations with a strong growth trajectory.  We also have the privilege of working with multiple physician groups that encompass some of the leading clinical minds in this space throughout the US.

Solis is currently rolling out a groundbreaking artificial intelligence software in our centers that assists radiologists by rapidly and accurately analyzing each individual image to identify potentially malignant lesions.  This software platform will also lay the framework for conducting industry leading research that will shape the field of mammography for years to come and engaging with health systems and insurance partners to find innovative ways to increase patient compliance, reduce breast cancer risk and lower healthcare costs across large and diverse populations.  More details on the role are below.

Key responsibilities of the CMO include:

  • Optimize clinical operations to ensure the highest quality standards and patient experience
  • Partner with the leadership team to advance business objectives
  • Develop leading edge clinical and value-based care strategies
  • Drive the digital transformation and a technology-enabled patient-centered model
  • Lead and engage a diverse clinical team
  • Model the Company Values and Leader Behaviors
  • Act as the clinical spokesperson for the organization
  • Initiate, support and/or oversee clinical research opportunities
  • Lead the Medical Advisory Board to include formation, physician participation and agenda management
  • With a focus on Compliance:
    • Assist in overseeing the MQSA/ACR accreditation processes
    • Review violations and failures, particularly pertaining to image submission
    • Collaborate with Operations in implementing process improvement measures
    • When appropriate, present quality and compliance metrics to the Solis Q&C Board

 Ideal Experience and Education:

  • MD is required, including board certification in breast imaging. 
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a practicing clinician, establishing and administering innovative clinical services, improving clinical quality, and directing performance improvement and technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Medicare, FDA, DOT, OSHA, state requirements, health care accreditation, and professional standards of practice.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the board of directors, groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Outstanding leadership, supervisory, and mentorship skills, including the ability to develop and inspire a diverse clinical team.
  • Experience working with complex companies or organizations that operate in a multi-unit, multi-state environment.
  • Proven ability to work well with senior operating executives, leveraging strong intellectual, conceptual, and analytical skills.
  • A master’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, healthcare administration, public health, or another relevant field is preferred.
  • Financial and business acumen, including the ability to conduct budget planning and to leverage data in decision-making.
