Job Title: Lead Veterinary Technician ($1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS)Location: Animal Hospital of Seminole - Seminole, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Practice Manager/Medical Director

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team. This leadership role is ideal for a credentialed technician with strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and a desire to mentor and support other team members. The Lead Veterinary Technician works closely with the medical and management teams to ensure high standards of care, efficiency in daily operations, and a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the veterinary technician team, ensuring quality care and adherence to hospital protocols.
- Mentor and train new and existing technicians and assistants.
- Facilitate scheduling, workflow, and delegation of daily tasks.
- Assist in all aspects of small animal surgery, from intake to discharge.
- Perform all aspects of veterinary technician duties including (but not limited to):
- Patient restraint and handling
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical prep
- Radiology, laboratory testing, and dental procedures
- Client education and communication
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and ensure proper inventory control.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, reception staff, and management to ensure smooth hospital operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary technician experience.
- Strong technical skills in anesthesia, dentistry, lab work, and patient care.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for animals and a commitment to patient advocacy.
Preferred:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
- Experience with veterinary software with the ability to learn Vetspire.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay range starting at $18-24/hour. We are offering a $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
