Description
At Greenwich Veterinary Center we are more than just a veterinary practice - we're a compassionate team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and support to their families. We're currently looking for a Technician Supervisor to lead and inspire our talented veterinary technician team.About the Role:
As the Technician Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our hospital. You'll be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and developing our technicians while ensuring the highest level of patient care. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic team leadership. The technician lead will also have support from the Practice Manager and our hospital Medical Director who alongside the team to support the team to support them as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong, positive leadership and foster a collaborative team environment
- Oversee the daily workflow of the technician team to ensure efficiency and quality care
- Mentor and train new and existing team members, supporting skill development and growth
- Assist in scheduling, performance reviews, and team evaluations
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians and hospital leadership to implement best practices
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and client communication
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as a veterinary technician; supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Credentialed technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required
- Experience in a General Practice setting with appointments and surgeries
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for team building and mentorship
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
