Description
We are looking for a general practice veterinarian to join our 2nd Street Animal Hospital team and share our passion for practicing veterinary medicine!
Located in the thriving Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philly, 2nd Street Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free, eco friendly, rapidly growing and recently rebuilt practice that boasts clean and welcoming facilities. Our team is committed to caring for our patients and we're leading veterinary practice in the region!
What We Offer:
- A high standard of medicine and services: You'll have opportunity to practice routine and major soft tissue surgeries, provide complete dental care, wellness and preventative care, laser therapy, thermal imaging, and more.

- Excellent tools and equipment: Digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, surgical suite, critical care O2/temperature incubators, cryosurgery equipment, ventilators, micro-surgical equipment, in-house laboratories and pharmacy, Olympus flexible and Storz rigid endoscopy, Storz electrosurgery, 3-D printing, and CereTom portable CT.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Our ideal candidate is a veterinarianinterested in small animal practice, primarily canine and feline caseload, in a supportive work environment where staff can thrive both personally and professionally. Limited interest in small mammal or exotics case exposure is great, but not required. Availability for some Saturday shifts (half days, 1-2/month) preferred.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university, or equivalent
- Active Pennsylvania state veterinary license
- Experience in companion animal medicine
- General soft tissue surgery and dentistry interest, with a commitment to continuing education and advancing procedure expertise
- Passion for collaborating with other doctors, staff and leadership to improve patient outcomes, drive clinic success, and further develop your career
