Description: Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Location: Dothan, Alabama
Status: Full-Time
Schedule options: Mon-Fri, 6/6, or 7/7 - Day shifts
Bonus: $50K commencement bonus with 1 year debt obligation
Join our prestigious, hospital-employed group at a 420-bed community Level 2 trauma center, the only regional trauma center serving a population of over 600,000. Located in Dothan, Alabama, just a 90-minute drive from the stunning beaches of Florida's Emerald Coast, our high-acuity hospital offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
Summary:
As a CRNA at our facility, you will play a crucial role in providing top-tier anesthesia care across all age groups-from infants to geriatrics-ensuring safe and effective anesthesia administration at all levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities:

- Administer anesthesia in line with established protocols and standards of care set forth by AANA and the AMA, as well as the directives from the Medical Director of Anesthesia. \n
- Engage actively in pre-op and post-op assessments, closely monitoring patient status and maintaining meticulous documentation. \n
- Uphold the highest standards of emergency preparedness, including managing emergency airway situations. \n
Minimum Qualifications:

- RN license in Alabama \n
- Current certification from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists \n
- BCLS Certification \n
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in emergency situations \n
Preferred Qualifications:

- ACLS Certification \n
Skills and Competencies:
\n
- \n
- Proficiency in maintaining pediatric case requirements, emergency airway skills, and annual BCLS and ACLS certifications. \n
- Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and adherence to facility policies and procedures. Maintain certifications with anesthesia equipment, including One Touch, Hemachron, TB fit testing. \n
- Commitment to continuous professional development, including annual unit-specific competency requirements. \n

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Alabama state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) program
- One year of work experience as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
