Description

Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to serve as Senior Medical Director of our hospital-employed Breast Center. This is an opportunity to lead a well-established, accredited program with no call, nights, or weekends, and to practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Position Highlights

• Practice: SOMC Breast Center – Portsmouth, OH
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8a–5p, Friday 8a–12p (flexible)
• Workload: Average 40–50 patients/day, 1–4 procedures/day
• Procedures: Stereo & US biopsies, Molli localization, MRI biopsies
• Technology: Fully digital modalities, ACR-accredited, NAPBC certified
• Team: Dedicated breast imaging radiologist, breast navigators, technologists, and strong ancillary support
• Leadership: Active participation in Tumor Board and medical director leadership initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $706,696 (initial two-year contract; adjusted for board status)
• Sign-On Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100K
• Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200K ($25K per year of service)
• Residency Stipend: Up to $25K (with service commitment)
• Relocation: $10K paid directly to moving company
• CME: $7,000 annually + Books & Journals
• Retirement: 403(b) with match, 457(b) deferred comp option
• Insurance: Malpractice (claims-made, $2M/$6M), health coverage with low employee premium
• Incentives: Annual performance bonus up to 10% of salary
• Additional: PSLF eligible employer
