Associate Physician

Salary or Pay Range: $1 - $21,750/Monthly

RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH: Applicants will be screened after two weeks, and then on a weekly basis. The position may be filled prior to the removal date.

Under the direction of the Medical Director, this position provides a full range of physician support to all clinic areas. Responsible for medical care appropriate to level of training and board certification.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• Hold current California Medical License.
• Possess a current DEA Certification.
• Possess a current CPR Certification.
• Medical degree with residency training. 
• Experience as a licensed physician.
• Skills to analyze needs, establishing priorities, and provide appropriate medical care and preventive medicine services to the Campus community.
• Working knowledge of workers' compensation law and processes as well as working knowledge of applicable State and Federal law, including laws and regulations related to privacy and confidentiality.
• Strong political and institutional acumen sufficient to accomplish needed action in a complex public research university environment. Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Computer and keyboarding skills to use Electronic Medical Records software program.
• Meets the credentialing and privileging standards for UCDHS medical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certified in Occupational Health. 
• Experience in Occupational Medicine. 
• Experience as a licensed physician and two years' experience in an occupational health care setting. 
• Knowledge of University and campus policies and procedures preferred. Excellent oral and written communications skills including presentation skills in a large and small group setting. Familiar with occupational health clinic practice management philosophies.
